Biography - d.a.gordon dart grew up in a community rich in the arts; Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Strong influences of her surroundings and the art she experienced in the northeast are evident in her work. The primitive paintings of Joseph Pickett and Edward Hicks largely impacted her emerging style.
Ms. Dart began exhibiting her paintings in 1973. She launched her illustration work in 1975 with spot drawings for The New Yorker Magazine. Her paintings have been exhibited nationally in galleries, juried shows, competitions and solo exhibitions. Her work has appeared on magazine covers, as illustrations for articles, books, calendars, pamphlets and advertisements. She generously lends her talents and donates her work to charitable organizations and their programs.
