A master of light and shade whose paintings and drawings have placed him amongst the masters of caribbean fine art.Born 1960 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Allen has devoted his life to painting,with an affection for showing lines, light and shade and colours of the ever-changing landscapes and peoples about him. landscape around him. In 1999 Allen was awarded the Norman Webb Certificate of Excellence for his composition, "Children at play", at the annual outdoor fine arts exhibition, Plainfield New Jersey. In 1994 he was also featured in popular Canadian magazines "Share" and " The Contrast" for his fine art pieces produced for the annual Caribana event. That same year he was featured in the "Black" magazine in Africa as a symbol for aspiring black artists.
